Hellfire Wyverns are so named for their foul tempers and fiery visages. Their social structure places all females above all males, due to superior physical characteristics and violent dispositions. Forced subservience of the males causes them to become vicious, petty, antisocial, and passive-aggressive compared to the aggressive and social females. However, orphaned hatchlings raised by foster parents of another species can develop surprisingly even tempers and mellow dispositions, proving that their defining unpleasant nature is, in fact, a learned behavior.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

The Cool Dragon was grabbed from her Volcano home as an egg on the 19th of May to commemorate Clya's younger brother's birthday. Therefore, she was named by and taken care of by Liam, Clya's younger brother. The Cool Dragon, despite her fire breathing abilities, enjoys that she has been recognized by a human despite the fact that the other dragons think it makes her condescending.

She likes her name but would rather have something like the other dragons of Clya's cave has, i.e. a more draconic name. The Cool Dragon, or Coolio as some of her few friends call her, enjoys flying around most of the day avoiding the other dragons of the cave and burning things just for the fun of it (she loves to see the patterns and sparking of the fire). Coolio, unlike her species due to her being raised by calm, mellow dragons, is typically calm, but can have her outbursts.
