Paper Dragons are not truly living creatures. They are pieces of parchment enchanted by magic, and as such, are very vulnerable to fire. However, they behave almost like dragons. The only place where their behavior differs is breeding: paper dragons cannot breed.

Lady of Paper was created during the time of King Herod by the magician Balthasar.  During his search for immortality, Balthasar found an old spell to turn pieces of parchment into enchanted paper slaves.  On Balthasar's first attempt, he created Lady of Paper.  However, something had gone wrong, and Lady of Paper immediately refused to obey Balthasar's commands.  Balthasar tried to throw her into his fire, but Lady of Fire was too quick for him and flew away.

Lady of Paper soon met a human by the name of Levi.  They struck up an almost instantaneous friendship, even though Lady of Paper could not talk.  The two traveled the eastern world together until Levi's death.  Since then, Lady of Paper has been traveling the globe non-stop, looking for other creatures like her.  She hopes to find another "Levi" during her travels, because even after 2000 years, she still misses that friendly human.
