Aww... It’s a cute baby dragon. You find it odd that the hatchling doesn’t move at all during the day, but at night its colors change and it is full of energy.

And look! It has grown wings! It must be close to maturing.

Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

Reibos is the second forever-hatchling in the whole bunch of the dragons. He's a playful Nocturne dragon, who mostly sleeps during the day in one of the others' caves (most often Takaiheart's or Hienko Ghieyros' as they appreciate his need for the dark). At night he plays with any of the other hatchlings, and races with other nighttime dragons.
