Copper Dragons are masters of stealth, slipping silently and swiftly through the forests and jungles where they live. Often hunting in groups, their prey rarely know they are being stalked until the dragon’s at their throat. In the air they are agile and skilled. Copper Dragons prize family groups, spending large amounts of time teaching their young skills. So great is their love of life and family that they will sometimes adopt orphaned dragons of other breeds to raise.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Arid is a living contradiction. He may well be one of the cruelest, bloodiest hunters around, yet he is a complete sweetheart around everyone. As a Copper, he specializes in stealth hunting, and he is good at it. But Arid tends to go a bit heavy on the gore. He'll break and tear his prey relentlessly to ensure they can't fight back even a little. The same goes for his dragon targets. Arid occasionally works as a hit-dragon, though quite rarely. He only seems to turn to the profession when food or funds are tight. But most wouldn't even figure this out without seeing it, since Arid is just so nice to everybody he meets. He is super sweet and charismatic and takes care of everyone. He's a hearty host, often preparing simple cooked meals for those who come to visit him and his mate, Ammolite. He's known to be talkative, sociable, and very big on family. All the more jarring to go from that to a cold-blooded killer. Though it is not very visible, he does seem to pity his targets.
