Deep Sea Dragons, as their name suggests, spend most of their time in the darkest depths of the sea. They have a bioluminescent dorsal spine that serves to attract prey and communicate with their own kind. As with many deep sea animals, they generally eat whatever they can manage to bait. They rarely leave the ocean floor, surfacing only during breeding season. When they do choose to travel to the shallower depths, they avoid bright lights and will only come up far away from shore.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

Denali is a friend of whales. As a hatchling, Denali had often chased after things that were bigger than her. She was fearless, brave, and stupid. The things she chased tolerated her for a few minutes and then turned to chase her instead. She would immediately dive deep down and hide in the sand of the ocean floor until they stopped chasing her. However there was one creature that would allow her to chase it for hours and hours. It was a whale. Sperm whales, to be exact, were often down in the depths feeding on deep sea squid. They stayed for only a short time, but it was enough for Denali to have her fun. When they began to leave, bellies full of squid, she would chase them up much farther than she did for any other creature, and then she would wave her fin goodbye as they left to surface. They never once turned on her. As an adult she still spends her time with them, but now she just chases the squid in their direction. The whales are her life, her entertainment, and her greatest love.
