Dark green dragons, once they mature, appear to become an entirely different species. However, this isn’t true. Rather, they burrow underground and get nutrients from their vines. These vines are sometimes referred to as Dragon Grass. These dragons are very violent, and will use their vines to capture, kill, and eat anything that moves, as well as nearby plants. Luckily, their range is limited and they cannot use magic. Dark green dragons tend to be easy to spot since they usually kill all plants around them and thus are usually surrounded by a large clearing.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Mimosa was born as nasty as any Vine dragon. She lived in a group of Vines that nearly ripped apart a countryside, devouring anything in their path. But they made the mistake of devouring the future prince of a Magma dragon kingdom. Predictably, this enraged the fiery dragons, and they burned the entire group of Vines to the ground. This all happened when Mimosa was a hatchling, and she fled their rage with an intense fear of fire and any species of dragon that wasn't a Vine. As she grew she decided to settle on the outskirts of a dragon clan, in the middle of a grassy field that she hoped would disguise her. Soon the nutrients were depleted, and she was growing weak, when along came a little Canopy dragon named Amazon. In exchange for food, Mimosa allowed him to settle in her dragon grass, as she saw the fear in his heart from some past event that mirrored her own. Against her wishes she began to fall for the dragon, and does her best to soothe his nightmares whenever they occur.
