Storm Dragons are the masters of the skies. They are excellent fliers and land only to rest and eat. In addition, they have full control of the weather. They are very hot-tempered and easily angered. They will attack any human that bothers them, conjuring strong winds and dangerous lightning.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Of the four Elders who established The Hold, Ceras is by far the most volatile and capricious.  Despite being one of the oldest dragons of The Hold, she does not act the part of a generous and kindly Elder and is, instead, short tempered and prone to bouts of emotional outbursts when agitated.  These fickle tantrums often are accompanied by dangerous swells of thunderheads and biting lightning bolts which spear and tear across the sky.

Though she is temperamental, Ceras is also highly loyal to The Hold and overly protective of those she has come to accept as companions of hers.  As one of the three "generals" under Rhonomith's leadership, she is an invaluable defensive force and when her powerful demeanor and prowess are employed in guard of the colony she proves her worth as a warrior and safeguard of The Hold.

Though her passionate and vibrant personality has been a fault of hers at times, her mate, Silva Rhuu, is a constant enforcer of her more stable side.
