Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

All That Glistens is still close to his grown daughter, Redberry Silverstorm. He goes to visit her once a week. Often Angel of Happiness comes along as well, but she is sometimes caught up in secretive musings with Angel of Starlight.

"Glisten" longs for a pack made up entirely of his own kind. He fantasizes about taking his children and grandchildren and forming such a pack, along with a new silver mate.
