Stone Dragons have a tough outer covering made of a stone-like material. They eat rocks, using the minerals they contain for nourishment and to keep up their stone outer shell. They rarely move, and are the heaviest of all types of dragons. Although they have wings, indicating flight ability, no one has ever seen a stone dragon flying.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Grekkah is the slowest dragon of his little pack. That is to say, he is the slowest moving. Because of this, he is an ideal sentry and takes his job seriously. He will watch the young hatchlings and let out a loud, lion-like roar if anything threatening comes close. His master keeps him well fed, as there are a lot of rocks near their cave home. Grekkah seems to find no reason to move at all from his position and will stay at it during all weather, all seasons, all temperatures. The hatchlings and pygmies in the cave often use him as a playground for their amusement. Grekkah doesn't mind in the least, unless they get on his head. Even then, he will only let out a soft warning growl and send adults and hatchlings alike scampering off.
