Hellfire Wyverns are so named for their foul tempers and fiery visages. Their social structure places all females above all males, due to superior physical characteristics and violent dispositions. Forced subservience of the males causes them to become vicious, petty, antisocial, and passive-aggressive compared to the aggressive and social females. However, orphaned hatchlings raised by foster parents of another species can develop surprisingly even tempers and mellow dispositions, proving that their defining unpleasant nature is, in fact, a learned behavior.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Kothar is the Dragonic word for demon, and it's quite easy to see where this fiery male got his name. Found as little more than a lonely egg, apparently abandoned in his band's border fights, Kothar was brought to the clan in hopes of teaching him Clawclan ways, hoping to tame the wild and aggressive traits out of him by raising him in a much less hostile environment than the one he had come from.

Evidently, they didn't succeed as well as they had hoped, because Kothar is just as vicious and violent as any of his breed. Living out his life in hiding from dragon society, Kothar lives in the dense forest of the East, attacking any who dare to trespass with razor-sharp claws and an equally sharp tongue. Although he may try to say that he is just being another loyal clan warrior, he couldn't be farther from the truth.
