Aww... It’s a cute baby dragon. Its eyes glow brightly at night, and it enjoys attacking insects and small animals.
And look! It has grown wings! It must be close to maturing.
Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.
User Description
This dragon's egg was not nurtured, not carefully kept warm and safe. Rather it was left out in the cold and rain to rot, in the owner's hopes of gaining a neglected. However, the master accidentally checked back in too soon, and realizing the attempt had been useless, decided to toss the worthless egg from the nest. It was then that Unfortune hatched, and delighted to see her rare form, her owner devoted lavish amounts of care on her. However Unfortune always remained quiet, perhaps due to her harsh upbringing. But this was not because she was stupid. It was because she was thinking--thinking of how, had she been common, she would have been thrown in the mud to die. And now Unfortune has resolved to spend the rest of her life taking care of those who have no other friend, with no regard for whether they are 'valuable' or 'worthless.'
