Red Dragons are similar to typical story book dragons. They shoot flames, can fly, etc. However, they aren’t evil creatures as depicted in myths and won’t go around raiding castles, killing knights, or kidnapping princesses. They live in a variety of habitats, from forests to coastlines to abandoned castles, usually in warm climates, and eat whatever living creatures they can find.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

She earned her name when very young, for she was drawn to the glow of the bright orange flame and her parents were forever herding her away from the dangers of the fire pit that warmed their abode.

She was determined however to play with the orange light and often snuck away, to play with fire. While playing one day a vine suddenly wrapped around her leg startling her into shooting out a deadly flame that lit the forest on fire, the smoke quickly building up, the vine retreated and other dragon's rushed to assist in putting the fire out.

Once the fire was out, the damage assessed. It was learned that almost a thousand acres had been destroyed, their food supply well diminished by one careless moment in her young life. While the adults were forgiving, the hatchlings were not and continuously teased her about her flames until in defense she spoke up loudly "Giggler says I keep her warm and calls me 'Giggler's Flame One.' She loves me." From those words, her name was chosen.
