Geode Dragons are closely related to Stone dragons. They are covered in a hard stone-like material as well as beautiful crystal. Their wings are entirely useless for flight, but they help attract mates. The dragons with the most brilliant and colorful crystals are more likely to mate.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Sylvester Stone was the first geode dragon in the cave, and as such spent a great deal of time working with the other military dragons of the cave to find the best way to use the special talents of the geodes in the protection of the cave. The geodes will join the stones in being lookouts on the distant mountaintops around the cave. By closing their wings and covering their crystals, they look like boulders on the mountain, but when they spread their wings and allow the sun to shine on their crystalline skin, they become beacons of warning. Now, Sylvester Stone and the other stone and geode dragons are working on a system of signals and codes for communication when they are out of telepathic range of the cave.
