Swallowtail Dragons are graceful and quick flyers, much like their namesake bird. They are capable of precise aerial acrobatics, and can reach very high altitudes. Because of this, humans observing these dragons are often astonished at how large they are when confronted up close. A Swallowtail’s diet consists of insects and small mammals plentiful in temperate forests. These dragons are also made remarkable by their paper-thin wing membranes, which allow light to pass through, creating an astonishing effect on starry nights.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Seaglass Chalcedony grew up among the other dragons back at the Cave Mountain. She loved them dearly. She loved one dragon more than the others though. He was a Sunset Ampiphitere. He grew up right beside her. The thing was, when he was a hatchling he had constant vomiting sessions and nightmares. Seaglass felt pain when she saw him like that, and swore to find a cure.

Faithfully, she flew far away looking for a cure for her sick friend. When she came back with one a couple months later, she discovered that he had healed by himself (after several severe rounds of regurgitating). He was enraged with her for leaving him during his greatest time of need.

Angrily, she left the cave. She decided to heal dragons who would appreciate it. She decided to heal dragons who would appreciate her. So she roams around Valkemare, healing any sick dragon she finds. Whether it be with her acrobatic show (laughter for the doomed) or with the many medicines she's found.
