Storm Dragons are the masters of the skies. They are excellent fliers and land only to rest and eat. In addition, they have full control of the weather. They are very hot-tempered and easily angered. They will attack any human that bothers them, conjuring strong winds and dangerous lightning.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

While mellower and more phlegmatic than his kin, Kunikida is undoubtedly a typical Storm Dragon: tempestuous, unpredictable, and quick to bite. Born near the eye of a hurricane, and then washed out to the unruly sea, he has known nothing but the untamed sting of nature and it echoes in his personality, prickly and reckless, with a shine familiar to youth in his piercing acid eyes. To attempt to describe him is a near impossible feat—so polarised he is, and so very moody and erratic. He can go from pleasant to bitterly sardonic, overjoyed and naive to a cold cynic. To know him is like knowing six dragons all at once. Though, deep inside, he's a well-meaning soul, that is frequently obscured by his many faces and the fact that his bark is much worse than his bite.
