White Dragons are pacifists and specialize in extremely strong healing magic. The only limit of this magic is that it can’t bring back the dead. They only eat plants and never kill living things.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Silver Centauri is the first son of Moon Crystal and Pakie the Second, two of his owner's other dragons. He is wise, steadfast, and noble, and knows just when to make daring feats, and just when to make cowardly-looking ones--even though they turn out to be courageous in the end. Every dragon in the cave is sure that he will be a good teacher to his children, because of his strong mind and faithfulness to his mate, Sapphire Empress. He was named for the star that is the second-closest to Earth, called Proxima Centauri.
