Aww... It’s a cute baby dragon. Except for the occasional flicker of movement, it remains inanimate.

And look! It has grown wings! It must be close to maturing.

Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

User Description

We Will Rock You politely but firmly demanded to be frozen a day before he matured because he considers his smaller strength and size a very negligible disadvantage compared to the much greater speed and agility of a hatchling. This might sound odd as Stone Dragons seem pretty much inanimate even as hatchlings, but hatchlings are capable of moving very fast for a very short time, and after he mastered this technique to such a degree that he was able to move from one end of the cave to the other while appearing to sit still he did not want to give it up. He even agreed to a test of his ability to fend for himself, and he passed with flying colours. Such spunk in such a small dragon did not go unnoticed, and he quickly became the mascot of the cave. The other dragons no longer treat him as a hatchling; he has shown time and time again that he is their equal.
