Sunbeam Drakes are the diurnal counterparts to Moonglow Drakes, their eggs having been laid during the daylight hours. They are around the size of a small dog, and while docile, can be flighty and easily startled. Most can be found high in treetops enjoying the bright sunlight, tucking themselves away at the first sign of a storm or impending nightfall. Sunbeam Drakes enjoy flying in the light of the sun, and their treetop dances are beautiful, dazzling, and serene.

Though it may appear at first that dragons and drakes have much in common, the two are completely separate species. Drakes are smaller and less intelligent than their cousin species, though both dragons and drakes sit comfortably near the top of the food chain. They are always found bearing antlers and leathery wings. Drakes share many of the same habitats that dragons do, and typically hunt in packs.

User Description

Keiko Ceilodemaile tends to think before she acts. She plays with an issue in her mind for a time, looking at a range of possibilities before choosing a direction. Keiko is often cited as being very curious in her clan. This fits with the way her brain works. Rather than simply collect information, her brain plays with it. Keiko is not afraid of ridicule or criticism. It isn't that she isn't sensitive towards it but rather it never occurs to her that others might ridicule her ideas. A common fallacy about her is that she isn't logical, that she is driven purely by feelings and emotions. Rather, as noted, Keiko is not handicapped by a need to conform to social norms. She is not compelled to be a part of a popular culture. Rather, she is driven by a logic that suits her needs and that is logical to her. That logic may be based in part on emotions and feelings. But it is a form of logic nevertheless. Keiko is noted in her clan for her distinct sepia colored eyes and flamboyant wings.
