Seasonal Dragons take on the characteristics of the season during which they are born. Thus, eggs that are laid in spring match the pink flowers and green buds of spring, and those that are laid in the summer grow to depict the bright green of the forest trees and the yellow of the sun. Eggs laid in autumn display the bright colors of leaves falling from trees, and those that are laid during winter take on the appearance of the icy snow.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

It's not that Cimon is lazy or ignoring her responsibility. No dragon can argue that she is one of the most active warriors when the clan is in dire need. Her freezing breath can take out several enemies at once and her claws can tear her enemies to shreds. However, in peaceful time she is as static as a rock. From the dawn to the dusk, she just lies on the forest bed, doing nothing, saying nothing and thinking nothing, just enjoying her sweet slumber. Her rare awake moments are only for food and if it doesn't rain for a while, her stinking smell alone can chase away the enemies. Other dragons call her Cimon, which means 'sleepiness', after they are fed up with trying to drag her into the clan's daily activities.

No dragon thinks that Cimon is capable of love. Honestly, she doesn't think that either. Love would just be too bothersome and shorten her time to sleep, which would be a terrible tragedy for Cimon.
