Aww... It’s a cute baby dragon. It enjoys sunning itself in the morning light.

And look! It has grown wings! It must be close to maturing.

Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

Morning Light is always up at the crack of dawn, and will not stop running around and using her newly formed wings until dusk falls. Light is shy and polite; she loves to play games, but often finds it difficult to actually join the other hatchlings due to her shyness. Most of the time she is content to either play by herself or to go hunting for bugs and small mammals.
