Grave Dragons are not named for their connections to death or burial, but for the grave expression on their faces. This strange expression is used as a defense mechanism that causes fits of panic and terror in potential predators. Since they only eat ash and charcoal, they do not hunt. Grave Dragons are powerful fire-breathers and have been known to burn down forests and villages alike to make meals. It is believed that the markings on each Grave Dragon’s wings are the faces of those who have lost their lives in fires started by that dragon.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Despite being a Grave dragon, Mwahahahaha is a merry and easygoing creature. She enjoys basking in the moonlight during chilly autumn nights, watching as if spellbound as the town or ancient grove that's going to be her meal burns down slowly into nothing more than ashes and dark remains. During such nights, she can be heard laughing to herself in anticipation of the great feast she is about to enjoy. Mwahahahaha often invites other Grave dragons to share her meal. Moreover, if any unlucky fellow—be it animal or human—got trapped in the blazing hell, then she will be very eager to invite the clan's Black Marrows over too, for she does truly believe that the more, the merrier. Some nosy female Purple dragons say she must have a crush on one of the Black Marrows, but that is a secret none of them dares to ask her up front, even though she'd probably answer in a kind and honest manner that this is actually true.
