Flamingo Wyverns are so named for their resemblance to the tropical birds with whom they often share territory. Their most striking feature is the bony black crest over their faces and snouts, larger in males, aiding both in digging up food and protection when fighting for mates. Males are duller in color than females due to their habit of wandering from nest to nest and picking from less algae-rich feeding grounds.
Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.
User Description
Wrex has been fighting for his life from even before he hatched. His tribe lived in a remote mud flat that was nearly devoid of life due to highly toxic water and mud, but the Flamingos refused to move, believing the environment would produce stronger offspring. And they may have been right: though only one in a thousand eggs were even viable, the survivors were huge, brutal, and held a savage intelligence unmatched by nearly any other Flamingo tribe.
While most remained in their toxic homeland, Wrex left as soon as he was able to fly, sickened by how his kin acted. Still, he was a warrior, and he soon found work as a bodyguard, or occasionally a mercenary. For the vast majority of his life, that was all he knew, having left his kin to slowly kill themselves. However, when he was hired by a Spitfire, Adrian Shepard, he began to re-think things.
Once his job with Shepard was done, Wrex returned to his homeland, and he took over the tribe, determined to break their suicidal traditions.
