Seasonal Dragons take on the characteristics of the season during which they are born. Thus, eggs that are laid in spring match the pink flowers and green buds of spring, and those that are laid in the summer grow to depict the bright green of the forest trees and the yellow of the sun. Eggs laid in autumn display the bright colors of leaves falling from trees, and those that are laid during winter take on the appearance of the icy snow.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Ikuo is exceptionally good natured and is much like an older brother to the dragons younger than him. He enjoys playing with the other dragons and is often found cheering up those who are depressed or feeling sad.

His favourite game is treasure hunting and he will spend ages tracking down every last hidden item, usually long after the others have given up.

Out of all of the seasonals, Ikuo is the one that supports Etsuo becoming the next clan leader the most. He believes that the older autumn dragon has similar skills to the current leader Whyte and will be able to guide the family just as efficiently.

Despite his usual friendly character, Ikuo has a deep hatred and mistrust for Mamon, as he is one of the many dragons that the vampire dragon tormented as a hatchling. He knows that Mamon preys on other dragons and is worried that he will attempt to feast on a member of the family in order to further his own bid for power.
