Guardian Dragons have large shields on the end of their tails. Although the shields appear to be heavy, they are light, yet nearly unbreakable. Guardian Dragons use their tail-shields, as well as their wings, to deflect attacks and protect others. Often, they will guard the eggs and hatchlings of a nest while others are away. They are generally peaceful, and will not retaliate unless necessary. They have no need to forage or hunt, as they are fed by those they protect.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Celeste Einhorn, daughter of Avilion, is the youngest of the three Guardian dragons that watch over the nest of eggs and hatchlings. Being born as a Guardian, the minute she hatched from her egg, she was prepared for her future duties of becoming a Guardian just like her father. Avilion has always been proud of his daughter Celeste, as she has been doing quite the job of watching over them. While Avilion isn't spending time with the hatchlings, she is taking up that responsibility and spending time with the hatchlings. Strangely enough, working alongside Soryu has always been quite fun. She sometimes teases him every now and then, just to get a good laugh. Just by the way Soryu looks at her, she can tell he has a thing for her, but she isn't going to come out and say anything about it. She would rather play along of not knowing a thing about him liking her in such a way. Teasing Soryu just seems to be more entertaining.
