Two-Finned Blunas are a very social breed of dragon, living in packs of dragons called “pods.” Blunas are very curious and playful creatures and several dragons in a pod will often “play” with one other, chasing each other around, tossing seaweed back and forth, and riding ocean swells. They are occasionally seen swimming alongside whales and dolphins.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Jex is an extremely paranoid young dragon. He knows someone is always listening to his deepest secrets out of the dark shadows of the underwater caves, and sooner or later that mysterious watcher will be his doom. He has recently met the young Bluna dragoness Curtis and has been smitten with her right from the start. As long as she never learns about all his hidden secrets, he thinks they might even work out in the long run.
