Sophrosyne Dragons are a rare sight, typically making themselves known only to protect and heal the vulnerable. A visit from one serves as a reminder that kindness prevails, and that there’s always hope for positive change. While it is known that they possess the power to reverse botched spells, some claim they can even cure methodically-cast curses. This has never been formally documented, but these dragons have been seen arriving in the aftermath of violence, and the scars of tragedy seem to heal faster in their wake. The feathers of a Sophrosyne have thus become a symbol of perseverance and light in the face of darkness.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

Vawvo uses his true, egg-born name in everyday use. Every dragon has a special name like this, but relatively few share it with others. They are in a language out of another time, and can be very difficult to pronounce (how does one say "Xd7JX"). Some dragons believe that a true name should be guarded closely and hidden from others, but Vawvo thinks it should be just the opposite. As a muscle is strengthened by exercise and a mind by good practice, so too does a name gain power by being repeated. Vawvo often refers to himself in the third person instead of the generic "I" so he can speak his own name more. Vawvo hopes that, should the world endure for ten thousand years, his name would not be forgotten.
