And look! It has grown wings! It must be close to maturing.

Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

She is the last thing anyone would hate. Her bestowing life brings no harm with it, but the euphoria of living with no worries. Carefree. And that is how she is, too. She plays, never works, labor is something she needs not to do. And though her gift is work, she sees it as play. Everything is a game, a game that she always wins. And if she loses, then she would simply 'play again'.

But she is not careless. She knows that there are harms. But they don't bother her. She isn't reckless, nor does she go around doing things that could harm her. "I'm not an idiot," she would say. All she does is play. And her prey, they play as well.
