Holiday dragons are a very mysterious breed. They are only seen during winter, and even then it is hard to catch a glimpse of one. They are responsible for the general cheer that spreads during the holidays. In essence, they are the “Spirits of Winter.”

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Fingon and Amdor only appear in the cave close to Winter time. It is usually speculation as to why dragons chose the star clan for their dragon herd. However, it would appear more obvious in the case of these two dragons. They act like a mated couple, despite the fact they are both male. It is clear such behaviour is not suited for the continuation of a species, and these two might have been shunned for such behaviour. It is within the star clan that they find sanctuary, as the unique make up of the clan makes way for many odd couples to arise.

Fingon is much more social with the clan. He appears to respect Gelmir. He also gets on reasonably well with the other Christmas dragons, though they were wary of him and Amdor at first, especially Celebrian.
