Aww... It’s a cute baby dragon. Ever since it hatched, the sky has been full of very dark clouds.

Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

SecretGreyRat was abandoned when she was an egg, and never has known a true parent. For reasons unknown, she decided to adopt two dragons as her "parents" HonestRoseHeart and DarkLadyNight. Both of these dragons would never have been around a hatchling naturally, for HonestRoseHeart is overly emotional and angsty, while DarkLadyNight is very dramatic and angry. No other dragon could understand why SecretGreyRat chose those dragons as her mother and father, but SecretGreyRat saw that they were hurting just like she was.
