Moonstone Dragons are named after the orb on their tails, which resembles the gem of the same name. They are nocturnal and gather energy through the absorption of moonlight with their orbs. They seem to glow with a lunar light and are a very gentle breed, feeding off of plants and the moons’ power.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

Bus 2525 is always, always moving. As a hatchling she was told that Moonstone dragons catch on fire if they see the sunlight, and the only way to prevent her imminent demise was either to avoid the sun entirely or to fly, to run, to be constantly in motion. "But," said the wise dragon, "there is a catch. Once you go as fast as 50 miles per hour, you cannot slow down; to slow down is to explode, regardless of the sun's presence in the sky."

Naturally the young dragon believed him and, not wanting to miss out on playing with others during the day, she took up skipping as a means of staying alive. But alas, upon growing her wings she gained a passion for flying, and one day reached that dreaded speed. She has since been flying, hunting only through dives, even staying in place while flying when stillness is needed. Several dragons have tried to convince her that what that old trickster said was a joke, but she has believed none of them so far.
