Failed attempts to experiment with magic often result in transforming dragons into these hellish creatures. They are extremely dangerous, and will mindlessly kill any living creature without regard to friend or foe.

Though it may appear at first that dragons and drakes have much in common, the two are completely separate species. Drakes are smaller and less intelligent than their cousin species, though both dragons and drakes sit comfortably near the top of the food chain. They are always found bearing antlers and leathery wings. Drakes share many of the same habitats that dragons do, and typically hunt in packs.

Ugly Thing was named before it died, but now that it's dead its even uglier. There is nothing uglier than Ugly Thing. It is so ugly that when it died the the Bishop kicked it out of the church cemetery because it kept frightening the corpses in the plague pit. Now Ugly Thing roams the world, devouring brains and scaring small children.
