Vampire Dragons are members of the undead. They sustain themselves by drinking the blood of others. It is said that they are only “alive” at night, and seem dead or asleep during the day, as they cannot endure sunlight for long periods of time. Vampire Dragons can only reproduce by changing the eggs of other dragons, puncturing the shell with their fangs and injecting venom that kills the baby inside.
Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.
User Description
Sorrowful herself has only ever managed to infect eggs which she steals from other caves. Salaesha, who could be considered the matriarch of the dragons raised by Thorn, keeps a close eye on her whenever she happens to pass near those being cared for in their own. But Sorrowful isn't too concerned- it isn't like she needs the eggs in order to survive, after all, and more vampires would just mean more competition for her.
Instead, Sorrowful is more concerned with sustenance. She likes to wander on her own into the wilderness, to find dragons there that are alone. Then, she will attack. Although she is cruel by nature, more often than not the dragons she hunts survive, as their mental cries for help alert others before she can go for the throat.
As well as being cruel Sorrowful is cunning, and a quick learner. She is already beginning to discover which dragon species are the easiest, and the best, to hunt.
