Hellfire Wyverns are so named for their foul tempers and fiery visages. Their social structure places all females above all males, due to superior physical characteristics and violent dispositions. Forced subservience of the males causes them to become vicious, petty, antisocial, and passive-aggressive compared to the aggressive and social females. However, orphaned hatchlings raised by foster parents of another species can develop surprisingly even tempers and mellow dispositions, proving that their defining unpleasant nature is, in fact, a learned behavior.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Graceful Firesong is an annoying male Hellfire wyvern. He was abandoned as an egg by his parents because he wasn't a Hellhorse dragon. Ever since Firesong hatched he has been a very irritating dragon. He never grew out of this behaviour, and it's common to find him making annoying noises near a dragon who's trying to concentrate or hiding eggs from the egg-minding dragons. Firesong's petty attitude towards life does not earn him much respect among the other dragons.

  Graceful Firesong has no fixed home. Whenever he moves to an area, he makes a point of annoying every dragon there! As a result, Firesong can seldom stay in any place for long.

  Though many dragons dislike Graceful Firesong, there is one dragon who despises him more than anyone else. That dragon is Burning Runestone, a magi dragon who is the head librarian of the dragon library. Firesong has irritated her so much that he is banned from the library. It doesn't really matter to Firesong though, as he can't read!
