Thunder Dragons are the masters of electricity. Their wings gather energy as they soar through the clouds, and when they clap their wings together they can create devastating arcs of lightning. They can stay airborne nearly indefinitely, landing only to sleep and breed; they catch their prey from the air and take moisture from the clouds. A thunder dragon’s roar is considered to be an omen of misfortune.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

Iolitviel SizzleChase (after the gemstone: Iolite) joined the clan cave as the 202nd dragon, and regularly causes more than a little distress to the clan elders. Perhaps the result of Iolitia's example, she has taken to the protection of the clan younglings, although her approach is anything but similar. Using her natural talents and abilities, she gives furious and sizzling chase to any who threaten or disturb the clan cave. While she wishes no serious harm, she seems to take a strange sort of pleasure from zapping any human that displays disrespect or unfriendliness. She also uses this talent for hunting, a tact which brings her prey to a rather abrupt end, and also serves to tenderize it to her delight and satisfaction. Most disturbing, however, is her use of this talent to discourage the clan younglings from pestering her. With a simple gesture, she sends a buzzing beam chasing after them, as they scurry away in disbelief and awe, often a singed tail trailing after!
