Holiday dragons are a very mysterious breed. They are only seen during winter, and even then it is hard to catch a glimpse of one. They are responsible for the general cheer that spreads during the holidays. In essence, they are the “Spirits of Winter.”

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Akasama came to Xuxa's cave on their first Christmas with Jexs, the Snow Angel.  There was a fire going, roasting some boar meat and marshmallows that gad been stashed away when Xuxa packed to leave human culture.  Apparently, they could smell the meat and marshmallows a mile away as they were dwelling for a place to stay. Akasama was absolutely astonished by the little family living in the cave.  Too amazed to even avoid contact with Xuxa as a human.  Akasama seemed a bit stuck up at first and only wanted a nibble of food then off he'd go.  When Jexs convinced him to stay, Xuxa was happy and felt so lucky to befriend two Christmas dragons.
