Guardian Dragons have large shields on the end of their tails. Although the shields appear to be heavy, they are light, yet nearly unbreakable. Guardian Dragons use their tail-shields, as well as their wings, to deflect attacks and protect others. Often, they will guard the eggs and hatchlings of a nest while others are away. They are generally peaceful, and will not retaliate unless necessary. They have no need to forage or hunt, as they are fed by those they protect.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Graforred is the main guardian dragon of the group. He lives by honor and his word and takes his position as the protector of his pride very seriously. While Molten Underneath claim is the protection of the hatchlings, Graforred willing protects the entire pack. Battle scars from the defense of his family grace his shoulders and wings but he bears them proudly as symbols of his duty.

Graforred has not been looking for a mate, only wishing to mate within his own species, and not wanting the pairing to distract him from his job of remaining ever vigilant of those who bypassed Lucky Bandit's vine burrow and are looking to attack his pride.

He is firmly against the splitting up of the pride and believes that they have more power in numbers as well as safety. If more males are hatched within the group they could easily take over other territory and satisfy all hunting and habitat needs of all dragons.
