And look! It has grown wings! It must be close to maturing.
Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.
Myst3ry is quite the solitary creature. He is very shy and hides away burrowed under the earth. The only time he shows himself is when his owner beckons him, or to search for food or water. When he does show himself, he is a spectacular thing to behold. His whitish pink scales glow dimly and are always perfectly clean. His hide is smooth to the touch. He moves around fluidly, flicking out a pink tongue, and searching with his pink eyes. When picked up by his owner, he doesn't move much or speak at all, but raises his head to look at her. He is sweet and quiet, and misunderstood by others. His owner understands him and treats him well, he feels safe in her hands.
