Geode Dragons are closely related to Stone dragons. They are covered in a hard stone-like material as well as beautiful crystal. Their wings are entirely useless for flight, but they help attract mates. The dragons with the most brilliant and colorful crystals are more likely to mate.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Valan Crystal's egg was gifted to Zephyra when the clan was still very small from a far more experienced dragon tender. Due to this, Valan was doted on and given special treatment as a hatchling. This made him rather entitled as a young dragon, and he hated not getting his way. He acted like this for some time, until he met a shy young female Earth dragon named Keevath. He fell in love with her before she had even come of age, and demanded she become his mate. She refused him, and told him he would have to earn her love, not demand it.

So for many months Valan tried to woo her in any way he could. He spent weeks searching the land for gifts for her, learned to sing to her, and learned to hunt for her. She eventually said yes, but it was only after he had completely changed his attitude and become a respectable adult, capable of being a good mate and father.

They have been together ever since, and raised their large family to be kind and humble.
