White Dragons are pacifists and specialize in extremely strong healing magic. The only limit of this magic is that it can’t bring back the dead. They only eat plants and never kill living things.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Lady Sybil Ramkin has a long line of Silver Tinsels in her family, and is one of the more noble and distinguished dragons in the Cave—hence her title of Lady. This makes her mate Sam Vimes technically a Lord, although he hates being treated like nobility and uses his title of Commander instead, marking him out as the leader of the Night Watch. Sybil is a very kind and caring—if no-nonsense—White dragon, who has a particular affinity with Dark Myst Pygmies and has been adopted as said dragons' official healer.
