Crimson Flare Pygmies are named after their small size and speed. They are fast and love to fly up and down in steep climbs and dives, giving the impression of a flare of color in the sky. These dragons travel in swarms during migration seasons and are very social. They live in tropical locations or wherever it is warm, and they are often seen near active volcanoes.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Pygmy dragons are the smallest category of dragons, being on the same scale as domesticated animals. They are often found around concentrated populations of dragons, relying on their larger brethren to ward away potential predators and leave scraps. As such, the majority of a pygmy’s diet is scavenged. Due to their tiny size, pygmies do not breed with larger varieties of dragons.

Uisce Bheatha literally means "Water of Life", which is a puzzling name for a crimson flare pygmy and probably not given to her when she was born.

Nobody knows what Uisce's real name is, but it doesn't even matter, because Uisce is totally captivated by water. Mostly because of a certain Seawyrm pygmy living there, who is his called Tine Bheatha (Fire of Life).

Their unusual love was much frowned upon the Crimson Flare and Seawyrm society. So much so, that the lovers decided to elope and join the pygmy gang of thieves (under the guidance of Gadai). Although they mostly keep to themselves, but go on raids if it's near water.

But one fateful day when the gang decided to raid a watermill, something terrible happened. The mill was home of a Magi dragon, who came back early from a hunting trip, when he noticed them! He attacked immediately, hurting most of them but killing Tine! Uisce was inconsolable but also had a son with Tine to take care off, thus keeping a piece of Tine with her.
