Black Dragons are warriors. They are strong and capable in battles of force, but also ample magic users, capable of devastating opponents with their spells. Their bright eyes give them excellent night vision, which is why they generally hunt during the night.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

No one knows where this dragon came from, or why, but one thing is certain: she is not to be trifled with. She appeared one night in the middle of a reclusive desert town, and her prompt defeat of the resident bandits proved she was a no-nonsense sort of creature. While the locals are grateful for her capture of the rascals, they're still quite nervous of her, and dark rumors about her abound. But the truth is most different.

Brave and gentle-hearted, Veyariz came there for one reason only--because it's the last known place an insane, murderous Black dragon was seen. Going by the name of "Bloodright," he's obsessed with the 'superiority' of unusually colored dragons, and upholds that superiority by killing dragons of the normal type. Among his victims lie common Vines, Ridgewings, and Dorsals... and Veyariz's younger brother. Swearing that no one else would ever suffer such a fate at the insane beast's claws, she pursues him relentlessly, determined to put an end to his vile existence.
