Aww... It’s a cute baby dragon. Its eyes glow brightly at night, and it enjoys attacking insects and small animals.

Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

This tiny dragon loves nothing more than being coddled and babied, so much so that he asked the Magi Mannix to freeze him in a hatchling state forever. All Oscuro has to do is open his wide, watery green eyes, and any dragon with a heart will start cooing and fussing over him. Though he has been frozen in this state for many centuries, the little Black dragon still keeps up his childish behavior because he simply does not see the point in growing up. He has imaginary friends, he builds toys to play with out of whatever he can find, and he refuses to sleep anywhere but right next to the Silvers because he is scared of the dark. The other hatchlings, both frozen and growing, find Oscuro much too immature and selfish to play with. Which is fine by him, as imaginary friends make much better companions anyway.
