Waterhorse Dragons received their name due to their horse-like physique and endearing behavior. They are capable of surviving out of water, and when on land their skin secretes a gelatinous goo to retain moisture. However, their large paddle feet are better suited for swimming, and waterhorse dragons tend to move very awkwardly when on land. Waterhorses are very friendly dragons and enjoy playing with humans.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

When young Ember Nuria found a home in the tallest Mountain of Elgar, she sought to care for the dragon eggs that were rumored to have survived the Murdering of Dragons. On her first attempt to find an egg she came across an old Dragon Cave. There she found a slimy blue egg and took it home, naming it Caspian. Ember took care of the egg with gentleness and love, so by the time Caspian hatched, he and Ember had created a strong bond. Ember and Caspian were always eager to play in the river by their house, but one day Caspian swam farther into the river than before and was swept away by the strong current. Ending in the Lake of Elgar, he was found by the girl Flight. When a frantic Ember later found the pair, the two girls instantly befriended each other. They now work together, breeding eggs so that the Mountains of Elgar can once again become a glorious domain of dragons. Caspian still lives with Ember, and he often travels in the same river that carried him away in the first place.
