Moonstone Dragons are named after the orb on their tails, which resembles the gem of the same name. They are nocturnal and gather energy through the absorption of moonlight with their orbs. They seem to glow with a lunar light and are a very gentle breed, feeding off of plants and the moons’ power.
Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.
User Description
Lunam Hecatonite is probably one of the only dragons who were supposed to be named after their parents, but eventually were, sadly, not. As a young hatchling, Lunam was much like any other hatchie--spending their time eating, sleeping, and forever getting into trouble and dangerous situations. However, at her naming ceremony, Nocte Entitae Rasvim, one of the leaders, accidentally spoke her name as 'Lunam Hecatonite', instead of 'Lunam Hecatolite.' However, that produced a binding magical force between the hatchling and the name, and there was nothing poor Nocte Entitae could do. Lunam doesn't mind, however. Personally, she thinks 'Hecatolite' sounds ugly and disgusting, and 'Hecatonite' is a better choice, despite there being only a one letter difference.
