Royal Blue dragons are a nocturnal breed who prefer to live high in the mountains near slow-moving water that reflects the night sky. Although quite capable of defending themselves, they are peaceful by nature and will avoid a fight whenever possible.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Mia has serious mummy-issues. Growing up his father did his best to shield him from his mother's attitude. But a hatchling wants their mother. And knowing that he wasn't good enough to please her and would never be because of his breed made him doubt his self-worth for the longest time.

When he was still a young hatchling, before his wings had even grown in, he tried to paint his scales red once, using a combination of bleach and crushed tomatoes, hoping it would make his mummy finally love him. All that he achieved though were very ugly, spotty scales for a couple of months.

Now that he's older, he knows it isn't his fault and has started to ignore his mother, for she alone is to blame for their frosty relationship.

If she would just come around and see that Royal Blue dragons aren't that bad...
