Black Dragons are warriors. They are strong and capable in battles of force, but also ample magic users, capable of devastating opponents with their spells. Their bright eyes give them excellent night vision, which is why they generally hunt during the night.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

The Malachite Hunter is a foe to be feared. With both strong magical powers and, as his name implies, being a hunter, he isn't likely to let you go. In him, mercy is nonexistent. There's only justice, blood, and hunting.

He can't stand the daylight, though. It's far too bright, the sun is far too hot, the shade is far too cold, the rocks and earth are far too warm. Not to mention that he's too used to going out at nighttime to hunt. He believes in the old, apocryphal story that daylight will harm your night vision. The Hunter refuses to go outside in the day. He depends on nighttime hunting far too much.

Anything that will harm his far, clear sight is a threat and will be destroyed or avoided. And since he can't destroy the day; well, there's not much else to do than to hide, is there.
