Sunsong Amphipteres are an unusual breed. Due to light interference caused by their magical nature, they don’t seem to be affected by any ambient light source. However, when struck by direct sunlight, they shine a brilliant gold. They are playful and ever in flight; their ethereal and mysterious appearance and the fact that they are usually only seen at a distance have led many to believe they are a symbol of hope and good fortune.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Vexus' arrival at Cliffshore Sanctuary coincided with the birth of Hadis Jr. Although, Vexus himself admits that it is not really a coincidence—just like any member of the Sunsong species, he is extremely hard to see if he is not exposed to sunlight. After a bit of experimentation, he learned to conceal himself within clouds perfectly, and observe the events down below without being detected. On one of these observation sessions of his, he spotted the lone soaring Haniya; tracing her to Sanctuary, he was stealthily present in the vicinity for quite a while. Vexus found the place interesting; but not that much so. When he was already considering to leave for another source of entertainment, on his last raid, he saw a Sunset hatchling, and his mother. For the first time, he came down from the clouds; right now, he is a rare visitor in the castle, but each time he returns, amazing news litter the stories that he tells.
