Aww... It’s a cute baby dragon. It seems to bear some semblance to a horse.

Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

Small Bluemane was born ready to race. He always wants to race the adult dragons, but his size makes the adults all ignore him and swat him away instead of racing. However, the other hatchlings test their speed and race him. When he loses, he tends to head-butt the adults or nearby trees, trying to make others feel bad for him. Hashlu tends to train him after Bluemane irritated him long enough.
