Aww... It’s a cute baby dragon. This hatchling seems to be filled with a fell, inner flame.

And look! Its wings have grown, and it’s become bigger, more aggressive, and much hotter.

Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

Yakubyougami's name simply means "pest."  She started young trying to scrap with the other dragons, but considers herself already the queen of the hatchlings and has thus turned to attacking the adults.  A typical encounter usually starts with her streaking up to an adult and clamping down on whatever part is small enough for her to get in her jaws.  She is normally swatted away a few times and eventually thumped hard enough on the head to make her rethink things.  It usually ends with her posturing and shouting that she will "let you off easy this time."
