Black Tea Dragons have small scent glands on the underside of their wing arm that release a pleasant scent. Though many creatures enjoy being in the vicinity of Black Tea dragons, the scent is intended to draw in swarms of butterflies. Though Black Tea dragons are full sized dragons, these insects are the mainstay of their diet.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Shadowblaze Water is a somewhat rebellious dragon. He always tends to question tradition and common dragon practices. He doesn't think twice about what he says and is often gets him into fights with others. Shadowblaze is good-hearted dragon, but can be insensitive to what he says and does. He always apologizes, though, and most forgive him. Some, though, like to hold grudges against this Black Tea dragon and decide to, pointedly, insult him. Shadowblaze is very courageous and bold, and is considered the "daredevil" of the Black Teas. His fellow kin advise him against unruly actions, but Shadowblaze would never turn down a challenge. Though he is brave, Shadowblaze Water is very sensitive at heart. He rarely lets his soft side show, but when he does he is full of tears and sadness.
